Morocco increases direct flights to Russia to 17 services per week
Royal Air Maroc is strengthening its presence in the Russian market by increasing the frequency of its direct flights between Morocco and Russia, a move expected to improve air connectivity and support tourism and business exchanges between the two countries.
Starting October 25, 2026, the Moroccan national carrier plans to increase its direct Casablanca-Moscow service to 14 flights per week, equivalent to two flights per day. The expansion will provide passengers with more travel options between Morocco's economic capital and the Russian capital.
The additional services will complement Royal Air Maroc's existing direct connection between Casablanca and Saint Petersburg, which currently operates three times a week. Combined, the two routes will bring the airline's total number of direct weekly flights between Morocco and Russia to 17.
The increase reflects the carrier's growing interest in the Russian market, which is considered a promising source of international visitors for Morocco. Direct air links can play an important role in facilitating tourism by reducing travel times and offering passengers more convenient connections.
The expanded schedule is also expected to benefit business travelers, professionals and other passengers traveling between the two countries. Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport will remain a key hub for travelers using Royal Air Maroc's wider international network.
Maintaining a direct connection with Saint Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city, alongside the expanded Moscow service, gives the Moroccan airline a stronger presence across two major Russian destinations.
The increase in capacity comes as Morocco continues to expand its international air connectivity and develop links with strategic tourism and business markets. Improved flight availability can contribute to greater mobility while supporting commercial, cultural and tourism exchanges.
With 17 direct weekly services between Morocco and Russia, Royal Air Maroc is positioning itself to capture growing demand for travel between the two markets and further strengthen Morocco's connections with the Russian tourism and business sectors.
