Ousmane Dembélé set to extend Paris Saint-Germain contract until 2030

French forward Ousmane Dembélé is reportedly set to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2030, according to French sports newspaper L’Équipe, despite reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

The 29-year-old currently has an agreement with the Parisian club that runs until 2028, but the two sides have reportedly reached an understanding over a new four-year extension. The formal signing of the new contract is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

According to the French publication, Dembélé is keen to remain in Paris and continue building his legacy with the club before considering a move outside Europe later in his career.

Paris Saint-Germain have also reportedly sought to retain the player while maintaining control over the club’s long-term wage commitments. The agreement reflects the importance of Dembélé to the team while taking into account the club’s financial and contractual strategy.

Dembélé has experienced a mixed start to the current season and was given several days of rest to help him return to competition in optimal physical condition.

The French international began his professional development at Rennes before moving to Barcelona in the summer of 2017. His time in Spain was repeatedly disrupted by injuries, limiting his ability to maintain consistent form.

Seeking a fresh start, Dembélé joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2023. After an initial period of adaptation, he gradually established himself as one of the club’s most influential players.

His performances in Paris have helped him reach another level in his career, while his technical ability, pace and creativity have made him a key figure in the team.
