Google Cloud unveils Gemini Enterprise push at Next 2026 event
Google Cloud opened its Next 2026 conference in Las Vegas with a series of announcements centered on Gemini Enterprise, positioning the platform as a core layer for enterprise artificial intelligence. The three day event signals a strategic shift from standalone AI models toward integrated systems designed to orchestrate workflows across large organizations.
At the heart of the announcement is the expansion of Gemini into a full enterprise orchestration platform. New capabilities include an Agent to Agent protocol that allows Gemini based systems to interact with third party tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, and SAP. The company also introduced updated development tools with persistent multi agent functionality and a revised pricing model tied to completed tasks rather than token usage.
Chief executive Thomas Kurian described the platform as a foundation for enterprise AI deployment. The ecosystem now integrates consulting and technology partners including Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, Infosys, and Cognizant. These partnerships are designed to accelerate adoption by embedding AI solutions directly into business processes.
Consulting firms are playing a central role in scaling deployment. Accenture has developed more than 450 specialized AI agents available through Google Cloud Marketplace, enabling companies to integrate automation tools across operations. Early use cases include telecom and hospitality clients that apply AI to customer interactions and marketing, generating measurable gains in efficiency and revenue.
The announcements reflect intensifying competition in the enterprise AI market. Gemini Enterprise is being positioned against offerings such as AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot, and Salesforce Agentforce. Google Cloud is emphasizing its ability to combine orchestration, execution, and governance within a single platform, aiming to differentiate itself as companies move from experimentation to full scale deployment.
The strategy also highlights the importance of ecosystem driven growth. With a contracted cloud backlog of $155 billion, Google Cloud is leveraging consulting partners to expand distribution and accelerate implementation. The approach suggests that success in the next phase of AI competition will depend not only on model performance but on the ability to integrate technology into real world business environments at scale.
