Egypt introduces five-year multiple-entry visa for Moroccan citizens
Egypt has introduced a new five-year multiple-entry visa for Morocco citizens, allowing them to travel to the country as often as they wish within a five-year period. Each stay under this visa can last up to 90 days, according to statements from Ahmed Abdel-Latif, who announced the new measure in Rabat on Friday.
The initiative aims to facilitate tourism, business trips, and investment between Morocco and Egypt, while strengthening human and economic exchanges. Moroccan travelers will benefit from simplified procedures, making it easier for professionals, investors, and tourists to plan long-term travel.
This latest measure builds on previous visa relaxations introduced in October, which included visa-on-arrival facilities and exemptions for Moroccans holding valid visas for the United States, the United Kingdom, the Schengen area, Canada, Japan, or Australia.
Egyptian authorities say the new long-term visa provides greater predictability for Moroccan investors and aims to stabilize visitor flows amid regional competition for tourism and business opportunities. Officials view it as a step to reinforce bilateral relations and encourage closer economic collaboration between the two North African countries.
