Digital Innovators Convene to Chart Morocco’s Digital Future

Casablanca welcomed the launch of the highly anticipated 3rd International Congress “Digital Now!” today, hosted by the Club Des Dirigeants (CDD) in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transition.

The two-day congress brings together pioneers across industries to discuss “SMEs in the Digital Age: Unlocking Potential, Inspiring Innovation” - a timely theme as Morocco accelerates its digital transformation.

In his opening remarks, CDD Founding President Driss Drif conveyed an uplifting vision aligned with the digital roadmap set forth by King Mohammed VI. “Digital Now! will ignite ideas and innovations that will shape the digital landscape of our nation,” Drif stated.

Echoing this sentiment, Ministry Secretary-General Sarah Lamrani spotlighted the vast potential of Moroccan youth in the digital economy. “To nurture this appetite, we are enhancing educational programs to equip talent for high-value digital roles,” she said.

Lamrani referenced the ministry’s latest agreement with the Higher Education Ministry to incorporate tailored digital courses in universities - expected to multiply graduates from 8,000 to 22,400 annually.

“Amidst the entrepreneurial momentum, supporting SMEs remains core to our mission through hands-on assistance, talent development and spurring innovation,” she added.

Following the success of the 2020 virtual edition amid COVID-19, the in-person gathering reconnects pioneers to exchange inspirational experiences and showcase resilience.

Key topics include the government’s role in boosting SME innovation, how corporate leaders can empower domestic SMEs, the mindset of Entrepreneur 3.0, and fruitful alliances between SMEs and startups.

As SME digital maturity takes centrestage, the congress serves as a springboard for collaboration, sparking ideas that will shape Morocco’s digital destiny.
