Asia pacific diplomats visit morocco jewelry group to boost ties
A delegation of ambassadors from Asia Pacific countries visited the Moroccan jewelry group Oromecanica Rafinity in Casablanca on April 15, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening economic and cultural cooperation. The visit formed part of broader efforts to deepen ties between Morocco and countries across the Asia Pacific region.
The delegation was led by Saulekul Sailaukyzy, who also chairs the Asia Pacific ambassadors group in Morocco. It included diplomatic representatives from Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The meeting was organized in coordination with Association Marocaine pour la Coopération et l'Amitié entre les Peuples and the leadership of Oromecanica Rafinity.
Discussions focused on expanding economic partnerships and cultural exchange. Diplomats toured the company’s facilities and reviewed its production model, which combines traditional Moroccan craftsmanship with advanced industrial processes. The visit highlighted the role of creative industries in promoting Moroccan expertise on the international stage.
Aziz El Hajouji said the initiative reflects Morocco’s approach to economic diplomacy. He stated that the company aims to showcase a modern industrial sector rooted in heritage while building long term partnerships with international partners.
The Casablanca based group positions itself as a key player in high end jewelry production in Morocco. Founded in 1998, it operates a large manufacturing complex and employs a workforce that includes people with special needs. The company also runs a training center in partnership with OFPPT to support skills development in jewelry professions.
The visit underscores the role of Moroccan companies in supporting international engagement and promoting the “Made in Morocco” label through industrial and cultural collaboration.
