In an effort to boost Moroccan exports, Egypt is set to introduce a "Fast Track" system aimed at simplifying and accelerating trade processes. The announcement follows a meeting between key officials: Ryad Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Commerce; Omar Hejira, the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade; and Hassan Al-Khatib, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade. The initiative, based on the principles of a mutually beneficial partnership, was designed to streamline the entry of Moroccan exports into the Egyptian market.

In addition to the "Fast Track," the ministers agreed on the establishment of a direct communication line between both countries to resolve trade obstacles. They also emphasized the importance of monitoring export statistics and addressing issues that could hinder trade goals, while finding solutions to overcome them.

Efforts will focus on increasing Moroccan exports to Egypt, particularly in the automotive sector. A Business-to-Business (B2B) forum is planned for April 2025 in Egypt to foster partnerships and business networks between private sector stakeholders from both nations.

Further collaboration includes activating the Business Council and preparing for the upcoming Joint Commercial Commission meeting. Additionally, the Moroccan exporters will visit Egypt soon to strengthen commercial ties, promote Moroccan car exports, and enhance bilateral economic cooperation.

Minister Al-Khatib highlighted the robust and lasting relationship between Morocco and Egypt, underscoring their alignment in international organizations and their shared commitment to mutual understanding. The meeting's purpose was to align the two countries’ views on trade and foster smoother commercial exchanges.

This initiative is part of broader efforts to deepen the fraternal relationship between Morocco and Egypt, promoting high-quality economic and commercial cooperation. Both ministers expressed optimism about further enhancing historical ties and advancing trade based on mutual interests and favorable investment perspectives, supported by a preferential legal framework.
