On the eve of the regional elections in Saxony-Anhalt, several thousand people gathered in Magdeburg to defend democratic values. In the crowd, demonstrators displayed slogans calling for more tolerance and denouncing racism as well as the far-right. Some waved rainbow flags, while signs proclaimed their opposition to hate and Nazism.
