Germany: Mobilization for Democracy Grows Ahead of Saxony-Anhalt Elections

On the eve of the regional elections in Saxony-Anhalt, several thousand people gathered in Magdeburg to defend democratic values. This mobilization comes as the AfD is favored in this former territory of East Germany, raising the prospect of an unprecedented result for the far-right in this state of 2.1 million inhabitants.
