2M unveils special programming for CAN 2025

In preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), Moroccan media group 2M has announced an extensive programming lineup across its television, radio, and digital platforms. This ambitious initiative aims to celebrate African football while showcasing the continent's cultural diversity.

With Morocco hosting the tournament from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, 2M has assembled a team of expert journalists, renowned analysts, and African football legends to deliver comprehensive coverage of the event. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies and newly equipped studios, the network promises an innovative viewing experience for its audience.

A diverse TV lineup for all viewers

2M’s television offerings will include an array of programs tailored to every football enthusiast:

- “Planète Foot”: Hosted by bilingual duo Ghizlane Gabari and Jihane Jahouri, this talk show will air daily at 10:30 PM, featuring in-depth analyses, behind-the-scenes insights, and interactions with African football legends like El-Hadji Diouf, Alex Song, Khalid Fouhami, and Adil Hermach.

- “Replay”: Scheduled for 1:30 PM daily, this program will offer advanced analysis through virtual tools, data-driven insights, 3D reconstructions, and augmented reality. Hosts Mehdi Issouaben and Hamza Hachlaf will be joined by Simo Hajoui and Mehdi Kessoua.

- “CAN News”: A daily news bulletin at 9:15 PM, covering the latest updates from the tournament, including organizational highlights, match reports, and the vibrant atmosphere surrounding the event.

- “CAN Kitchen”: Renowned chef Moha will lead this culinary program airing at 9:20 PM nightly, featuring 24 traditional recipes from the participating nations. The show will explore the rich culinary traditions of Africa, emphasizing hospitality and cultural exchange.

- “Netla9aw fla CAN”: Airing at 7:50 PM, this program will take viewers on a guided tour of Morocco’s most iconic tourist destinations. Hosted by content creator Taha Essou, the show will highlight the country’s cultural heritage and scenic wonders through the eyes of visiting fans.

- “Time for Africa”: This nine-episode documentary series will air every Tuesday and Sunday at 9:25 PM. Filmed across nine African countries, it will explore the continent's rich cultural diversity, bringing its stories to Moroccan audiences.

Radio and digital platforms join the celebration

Radio 2M will dedicate its popular program “La Bombonera” to the tournament. Airing daily from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it will feature debates, live match commentary, and interviews with football enthusiasts. Hosted by Hicham Ramram, Reda Allali, Amine Rahmouni, and Youssef Chani, the show promises to capture the excitement of the competition in real time.

On the digital front, 2M’s new sports platform SKWAD will provide round-the-clock coverage of CAN 2025.
