Two men released on bail after ambulances set on fire in London
Two men, aged 47 and 45, were released on bail following their arrest in connection with the arson attack that destroyed four ambulances belonging to the Hatzola near a synagogue in London. The attack occurred during the night from Sunday to Monday.
Police confirmed that the suspects remain under strict bail conditions while investigations continue into their alleged involvement. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the suspects or the exact nature of the investigation.
The London counter-terrorism chief, Helen Flanagan, stated that the inquiry also examines potential links to a claimed Islamist group and possible connections to Iran. Forensic officers inspected the scene in the days following the incident to gather evidence.
The police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and the two men are expected to appear in court on a date in April 2026. The attack has raised concerns about the safety of emergency services and the Jewish community in London.
