Two Former Malaysian ministers resign from parliament seats
Two former ministers in Malaysia have announced that they will resign from their parliamentary seats and leave their current political party as part of a broader political realignment.
Rafizi Ramli, who previously served as economy minister, and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, announced that they will vacate their seats in parliament and formally step down from the People’s Justice Party (PKR).
Both politicians stated that they intend to join a new political party that they have taken control of, marking a significant shift in Malaysia’s political landscape. Their resignations are expected to be formally submitted to the parliamentary speaker, with their seats being vacated shortly after.
The announcement reflects ongoing changes within Malaysia’s political scene, where party realignments and leadership transitions have become increasingly common in recent years. Analysts say such moves may influence future coalition dynamics and legislative stability in the country.
