TotalEnergies extends fuel price caps in France until April 7
TotalEnergies will keep fuel prices capped at its French stations until April 7, aiming to remain competitive amid rising global oil costs. The extension follows a previous cap set in mid-March and comes shortly after tensions in the Middle East pushed prices higher.
Under the scheme, gasoline prices will not exceed €1.99 per liter, while diesel will be capped at €2.09 per liter. The extension strategically coincides with the Easter long weekend, allowing drivers across France to benefit from lower prices at more than 3,300 stations.
Customers enrolled in TotalEnergies Electricity & Gas’s “Fuel Advantage” program will continue to enjoy a fixed price of €1.99 per liter for all fuels throughout 2026. The offer also applies to new residential customers who subscribe to electricity and/or gas contracts with the company.
TotalEnergies, like its competitors, has pledged to adjust fuel prices immediately in line with international market fluctuations, both up and down. For now, consumers are still awaiting relief as global energy costs remain high.
