Six injured in stabbing attack at New York's Penn Station

Several people were injured in a stabbing incident at New York City's Penn Station, one of the busiest transportation hubs in the United States. Authorities confirmed that six victims were hospitalized following the attack and that the suspect was quickly taken into custody.

Emergency responders and law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Medical teams provided immediate assistance to the injured before transferring them to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials indicated that one victim sustained serious injuries, while the others were reported to be in stable condition.

According to local authorities, officers from Amtrak's police force were among the first responders and played a key role in stopping the attack and apprehending the suspect. Investigators have launched an inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to establish a possible motive.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani expressed support for the victims and their families, condemning the violence and praising the swift response of emergency services. He also reassured the public that rail operations continued without major disruption following the event.

Penn Station serves hundreds of thousands of passengers every day and is considered a vital transportation center connecting New York with destinations across the northeastern United States. Security measures were reinforced in the area while authorities conducted their investigation.
