Resignation of the President of the Spanish High Council of Sports
Víctor Francos, the President of the Spanish High Council of Sports (CSD), has announced his resignation after just five months at the helm of the institution. He shared this carefully considered decision for professional reasons through his social media, stating, "Today, I wish to announce my resignation from the position of President of the High Council of Sports."
In an official statement, Mr. Francos emphasized that a period of stability is opening up in Spanish sports with the formation of the new government. He added, "It is time for the CSD to have at its helm a person who will meet the challenges of the institution for the next four years."
The outgoing president confirmed that he is thus ending an exciting period in his national political career. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, saying, "I want to thank the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, for the trust he has shown me on several occasions during this phase of my institutional life. I also thank the ministers I have worked with for giving me the opportunity to develop my vocation as a public servant in a progressive and transformative project for Spain."
