A collaborative partnership between Morocco and three European Union member states Greece, Poland, and Italy has resulted in significant advancements in Morocco's competition law and oversight, as per officials. Ahmed Rahhou, President of Morocco's Competition Council, announced on Tuesday that the partnership has successfully developed an extensive case law database, upgraded the Council's website, and aligned regulations with EU standards.

"At the ceremony marking the conclusion of this partnership, I am pleased to highlight the remarkable success of this project in strengthening our institutional framework and capabilities," stated Rahhou. He emphasized that the program included thirteen training courses for the Council's investigators and two additional courses for judges.

EU Ambassador to Morocco, Patricia Llombart Cussac, echoed Rahhou's sentiments, emphasizing that the experience represents valuable knowledge sharing. "While competition law may seem abstract, in reality, it is central to building open markets that are attractive to both domestic and foreign companies," she remarked.

The ceremony served as a platform to showcase the partnership's key achievements and engage in discussions about future goals with major stakeholders. Attendees included representatives from universities, media, legal consultants, and several foreign ambassadors based in Rabat.
