DHL Express says aviation fuel supplies remain secure despite Iran conflict concerns

DHL Express has stated that its aviation fuel supply for European operations remains secure throughout the summer, despite geopolitical uncertainty linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

According to DHL Express Europe CEO Mike Parra, the company does not currently face any fuel-related risks across major hubs, gateways, or key cities. He emphasized that no operational disruptions are expected at this stage, citing improved market conditions and diversified fuel sourcing.

Recent developments in the global jet fuel market have contributed to easing supply pressures. Demand has softened, while imports into Europe have increased from countries such as the United States, Nigeria, and South Korea, helping stabilize availability.

DHL also highlighted the strength of its global logistics network, which allows the company to adapt quickly in case of localized shortages. Measures include rerouting flights, using alternative fueling locations, and shifting cargo to road transport when necessary.

The company stated that its contingency planning system ensures flexibility in its aviation operations, allowing it to adjust flight routes and hub usage if conditions deteriorate.

Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, DHL maintains that it continues to monitor the situation closely but sees no immediate threat to its fuel supply chain or delivery operations.
