This prestigious event, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication in collaboration with regional authorities, is set to captivate visitors with a diverse array of activities and exhibits from 48 countries.
The inauguration ceremony, which was attended by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and several distinguished political, diplomatic, media, and cultural figures, set the stage for an extraordinary literary festival.
In his address, Bensaid highlighted the fair's significance as a gateway to cultural exploration and a testament to Morocco's commitment to fostering a vibrant literary landscape. He noted the profound impact of the SIEL on the publishing industry, both culturally and economically, as exhibitors seize the opportunity to showcase their work and connect with a wide-ranging audience.
This year's edition has bestowed a special honor upon UNESCO, welcoming the organization as the fair's esteemed guest.
