China launches new communications technology test satellite into orbit
China has successfully launched a new communications technology test satellite designed to support satellite communications, broadcasting services, and data transmission, according to state media.
The satellite was sent into orbit on Tuesday aboard a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan province. Chinese authorities confirmed that the spacecraft reached its planned orbit successfully.
The new satellite will be used to test and develop advanced communication technologies, including satellite-based connectivity, television and broadcasting services, as well as information transmission systems.
The launch represents another step in China’s expanding space program, which continues to focus on improving communication infrastructure and developing new aerospace capabilities.
The mission also marked the 653rd flight of the Long March rocket family, one of the main launch systems used by China for its space activities.
Through these projects, China aims to strengthen its position in the global space sector and enhance technological development in satellite communications and related fields.
