Go Siyaha program validates 819 projects in February

As of February, nearly 819 projects have been validated under the "Go Siyaha" program, according to Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, Craft, and Social Economy. This announcement was made during a session at the House of Representatives on Monday.

Responding to an oral question about the program from the National Rally of Independents group, Ammor highlighted that the validated projects already exceed half of the program's target, achieved in just one year.

The Minister further elaborated that 746 companies are receiving technical support, with an investment of 85 million dirhams (MDH). This support aims to help businesses enhance service quality, accelerate digital transformation, improve skills, diversify markets, and optimize energy consumption.

Additionally, the program benefits 46 tourism and recreational animation projects, which received an investment of approximately 300 MDH, with subsidies estimated at 90 MDH. These projects encompass a wide range of activities such as surfing, sandboarding, fishing, boat excursions, equestrian clubs, and climbing walls.

On the environmental front, Ammor stated that 27 companies are receiving specific support for energy transition, with an investment of 52 MDH and subsidies of 20 MDH. The assistance includes equipment such as solar energy systems, water resource optimization, waste and wastewater treatment, and other sustainable technologies.

The "Go Siyaha" program aims to provide financial and technical support to 1,700 tourism companies by 2026, with the goal of creating an innovative and diverse leisure offering and fostering job creation.
