Supporting Palestinian startups at GITEX Africa Morocco

The Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency is actively participating in the 3rd edition of GITEX Africa Morocco, which kicked off on Monday in Marrakech. The agency is showcasing a dedicated pavilion for its incubator, "BMAQ Innovation Hub," focused on Palestinian youth-led projects in innovation and creativity.

This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, offers a platform for six Palestinian startups, aiming to bolster their role in the socio-economic development of Jerusalem (Al-Qods) and Palestinian territories. These efforts align with the agency’s 2024-2027 digital strategy, which focuses on key sectors like education, healthcare, green and financial technologies, and digital commerce.

The agency’s participation is part of a broader effort, under the Al-Qods Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, to provide opportunities for Palestinian startups. This includes nurturing creativity and entrepreneurial spirit in digital technologies, while offering technical support and training through a comprehensive 190-hour program.

At the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif pavilion at GITEX Africa Morocco 2025 (20D-20), there will be professional meetings, presentations by participating Palestinian startups, thematic discussions, and advocacy sessions. These activities aim to foster stronger cooperation between these startups and both Moroccan and international digital sector players.

The agency’s 2024-2027 digital strategy, themed "Digital Development for Economic and Social Growth in Jerusalem," also includes projects such as the Palestinian startups incubator, the social and solidarity e-commerce platform "Dlala," a distance learning platform in collaboration with Al-Qods University, and the entertainment and gaming app "Haya" for children and teenagers.
