GITEX Africa Morocco 2025 welcomes global tech leaders in Marrakech
The third edition of GITEX Africa, the continent's largest technology and entrepreneurial gathering, launched Monday in Marrakech with approximately 45,000 participants and over 1,400 exhibitors representing more than 130 countries.
This prestigious event, held under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, featured a pre-recorded video message from Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch. Government officials, national and international investors, government institution representatives, speakers, and diverse personalities attended the opening ceremony.
The 2025 edition stands out with numerous sectoral conferences, creative industry innovations, and high-value networking forums. This annual meeting marks another milestone in positioning Morocco as an essential hub for digital innovation across Africa.
Organized by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with the Digital Development Agency (ADD), the event aims to foster collaborations between governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and digital leaders.
A highlight of this year's program is the "Africa Future Connectivity" summit, an exclusive platform bringing together telecommunications, cloud computing, and data center giants. The summit will explore high-speed internet impacts, 5G deployment, and cloud technologies while promoting public-private partnerships to shape the continent's digital future.
The event also features the Diaspora Studio, a networking space for African talent worldwide, designed to encourage investment opportunities, cross-border partnerships, and expertise transfer between diaspora and local technology ecosystems.
GITEX Africa Morocco additionally showcases EdTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, and SportsTech innovations, reinforcing the mission to leverage technology as a driver for socio-economic transformation throughout Africa.
