Five dead in septic tank cleaning accident in Chichaoua
Chichaoua – Five people, including four members of the same family, died on Wednesday from asphyxiation while cleaning a septic tank in the village of Ennassir, located in the commune of Sidi Bouzid, according to local authorities.
Emergency services, including local authorities, security forces, and civil protection units, quickly arrived at the scene. The bodies of the victims were recovered and transferred to the provincial hospital of Chichaoua.
The Royal Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, has opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
