Morocco and ICAO strengthen cooperation in civil aviation
Montreal – Morocco and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) signed a management services agreement on Saturday to expand their bilateral cooperation, on the sidelines of the 42nd ICAO Assembly.
The agreement was signed by Abdessamad Kayouh, Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, and Juan Carlos Salazar, ICAO’s Secretary General. It aims to foster joint initiatives in training and technical assistance, particularly in the fields of aviation security and safety.
Looking ahead, ICAO’s next Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS) will be hosted in Marrakech in April 2026. According to Salazar, the event will provide an opportunity to reinforce international civil aviation safety and security standards.
“The upcoming symposium will mark a milestone in ICAO’s history and in its cooperation with the Kingdom of Morocco,” Salazar emphasized.
