Yango celebrates Casablanca drivers with the launch of Yango Championship Cup

Yango Ride, a division of the international tech giant Yango Group, has announced the launch of the Yango Championship Cup, a competition recognizing the dedication and high performance of its partner drivers in Casablanca. Tied to one of Africa’s premier football events, this initiative honors the essential role drivers play in connecting communities while providing them with tangible incentives for their commitment and service quality.

Running from December 23, 2025, to January 21, 2026, the competition is open to partner drivers who meet strict criteria: completing a minimum of 150 trips and maintaining a 4.8-star rating or higher during the contest period. This ensures that only top-tier performers are recognized, reinforcing the importance of reliability and excellence in urban mobility services.

Recognizing excellence through competitive rewards

The Yango Championship Cup is structured to reward drivers across multiple performance levels. The top three performers will receive premium prizes, including high-end TVs and smartphones. To widen its impact, the contest also awards 41 additional drivers with practical gifts such as power banks, shopping vouchers, and fuel cards. This approach ensures that recognition extends beyond the elite performers, celebrating the broader driver community's efforts.

A local celebration of football and urban vibrancy

The competition coincides with a highly anticipated African football tournament, creating a festive atmosphere in Casablanca. Yango is leveraging this energy to engage directly with its drivers through on-ground activities, branded merchandise, and regular updates via the Yango Pro app. These efforts aim to strengthen the bond between drivers, passengers, and the company while contributing to the city's festive ambiance.

According to Amine Najim, Head of Operations for Yango Morocco, this initiative highlights the company’s commitment to its drivers: “Our drivers are everyday champions. This competition represents a unique opportunity to acknowledge their dedication and professionalism. It is a celebration of their achievements and the vibrant energy of Moroccan cities during this significant football event.”

Innovation meets community spirit

Beyond recognizing driver performance, Yango’s initiative reflects its broader mission of empowering local communities through technology. As part of its global strategy, the company combines cutting-edge technological solutions with localized approaches to urban mobility. In Morocco, Yango provides not only flexible earning opportunities for drivers but also resources such as training programs and constant engagement to help them thrive.

By launching the Yango Championship Cup, the company demonstrates its dual commitment to innovation and community building. This contest is more than a competition, it’s a celebration of football, Moroccan culture, and the drivers who make urban transportation seamless and reliable.

Driving forward with purpose

As the competition nears its conclusion, participating drivers are encouraged to stay active on the Yango Pro app, where leaderboards and updates are regularly posted. The winners will be announced shortly after the contest ends, creating anticipation and motivation among drivers to maintain their performance.

Through initiatives like the Yango Championship Cup, the company sets a new standard in driver recognition, blending innovation, community spirit, and professionalism. This effort underscores how Yango integrates local values into its global operations, celebrating both the cities it serves and the people who keep them moving.
