Stellantis Maroc and Al Barid Bank partner to promote green mobility and entrepreneurship in Morocco
Stellantis Maroc and Al Barid Bank have announced a strategic partnership to provide Moroccan professionals with accessible financing for micro-mobility vehicles, aiming to foster sustainable transportation and support local entrepreneurship.
Unveiled on Thursday, the initiative offers professional clients the opportunity to finance up to 80% of a vehicle's value, subject to loan approval by Al Barid Bank. The vehicles, distributed through Stellantis Maroc's authorized network, promise high quality and reliability, complemented by local after-sales service.
A cornerstone of this program is the Fiat TRIS, a compact and cost-effective urban mobility vehicle tailored for daily professional use. The initiative targets young entrepreneurs, delivery workers, artisans, and self-employed professionals, providing practical and affordable transport solutions to enhance their businesses.
Yves Peyrot des Gachons, Managing Director of Stellantis Maroc, emphasized the program's role in shaping modern mobility solutions. "Through this partnership with Al Barid Bank, we are offering a solution perfectly suited to the needs of young Moroccan entrepreneurs," he said. Highlighting the Fiat TRIS as a key model, he added, "This vehicle reflects our commitment to accessible mobility while supporting local economic growth."
Nejjar Al-Amine, Chairman of the Management Board of Al Barid Bank, underlined the bank’s dedication to financial inclusion. “By facilitating financing for micro-entrepreneurs and young professionals, we are helping create value, jobs, and sustainability,” he stated. He also emphasized the shared vision of both organizations to use finance and mobility as tools for Morocco's economic development.
The partnership represents a significant collaboration between the public and private sectors to advance green and inclusive mobility, aligning with Morocco’s national goals for energy transition and entrepreneurship support. The initiative could pave the way for innovative financing models in the automotive industry.
