Six injured in Kuwait following Iranian missile and drone strikes
Six people were injured in Kuwait on Monday after a series of missile and drone attacks attributed to Iran, local authorities reported. The incidents are part of ongoing regional tensions involving Tehran and its neighboring Gulf states.
According to the Ministry of Health, emergency responders attended the scene at dawn following the fall of projectiles and debris in a residential area in northern Kuwait. One of the injured individuals was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Kuwaiti military confirmed multiple missile and drone attacks during the night. It added that any explosions heard by residents were the result of interceptions by the country’s air defense systems targeting hostile projectiles.
Officials have emphasized that the safety of civilians remains a top priority and urged residents to remain vigilant. Analysts note that these strikes highlight the fragility of security in the Gulf region amid escalating tensions between Iran and its neighbors.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and coordinate emergency and defense measures to prevent further casualties.
