Six far-right AFO members sentenced to two years in prison in Paris

A Paris criminal court sentenced six members of the far-right group Action des Forces Opérationnelles (AFO) to two years in prison on Tuesday, September 30. Although handed firm sentences, the six convicts will serve their prison terms at home under electronic monitoring. The trial highlighted the persistence of extremist networks in France, even when small in number, and the ongoing judicial efforts to dismantle groups accused of preparing attacks motivated by religious hatred.
