Security Guard Accused in Holly Willoughby Kidnapping Plot Found with Millions of Celebrity Photos

In a chilling courtroom revelation, the case against a security guard accused of plotting to kidnap television personality Holly Willoughby has unveiled an astonishing trove of millions of celebrity photographs.

Gavin Plumb, 37, was arrested on October 4 of last year after allegedly detailing his sinister plans to an undercover officer from US law enforcement. During the trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, Detective Constable Will Belsham of Essex Police disclosed that the sheer volume of data found on Plumb's devices was so overwhelming that investigators managed to examine only about 10% of it.

"Yes, they were in the millions," confirmed DC Belsham, referring to the vast collection of images that included numerous photos of Willoughby and other celebrities. The investigation team had to employ a filtering process to handle and scrutinize the extensive data.

Additionally, the officers uncovered over 1,000 pages of internet history on Plumb's devices, which included a disturbing Google search: "How to meet people who kidnap celebrities?"

Plumb, who resides in Harlow, Essex, has pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting murder, incitement to kidnap, and incitement to rape, spanning from December 2021 to October of last year. The jury has been informed of Plumb's alleged "obsession" with Willoughby, which purportedly led him to concoct "graphic" and "sexually motivated" schemes involving her abduction, repeated sexual assault, and murder.

The court also learned of Plumb's prior convictions, which paint a troubling picture of his past. He has been previously convicted for attempting to abduct two women on trains and for kidnapping two 16-year-old girls using a knife, one of whom had her hands bound behind her back.

Testimonies in court have revealed that Plumb allegedly sought accomplices online to help carry out his plan to assault Willoughby at her home. His discussions reportedly included plans to incapacitate her and her husband, television producer Dan Baldwin, with chloroform, before restraining them, abducting Willoughby, and ultimately murdering her by slitting her throat.

Although Willoughby is not attending the trial, she has chosen to waive her automatic right to anonymity, a legal protection given to all alleged victims of sexual offenses or related charges.

The case continues to unfold, shedding light on the alarming details of Plumb's alleged actions and the extensive digital evidence amassed by investigators.
