School holiday travel: ADM issues safety and traffic guidelines

As the school holidays coincide with the upcoming weekend, Morocco’s National Highways Company (ADM) has warned motorists of heavy traffic expected across the national motorway network.

According to ADM, significant congestion is anticipated during the following peak hours:

  • Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Sunday, December 14, 2025, the day most holidaymakers are expected to return, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

To ensure safe and comfortable travel, ADM is urging drivers to plan ahead and adopt several precautionary measures. Motorists are encouraged to check real-time traffic conditions via the ADM Trafic mobile app and to stay alert to weather warnings, especially in cases of strong winds, rain, or fog.

The company also recommends taking breaks every two hours, regularly checking tire condition, and avoiding the emergency lane unless in cases of absolute necessity. Users of the Jawaz electronic toll pass are advised to verify their balance and top up before departure.

ADM further announced that the Jawaz pass can now be purchased and recharged at service-area shops along the motorway network, a move aimed at improving customer convenience and enhancing overall travel experience.
