PwC opens digital resilience center in Casablanca to boost cybersecurity and talent
PwC Morocco has inaugurated its first Digital Resilience Center (DRC) in Casablanca, marking a significant milestone for the firm and positioning Morocco as a regional hub for cybersecurity innovation. The launch was attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Ryad Mezzour, underscoring the initiative’s strategic alignment with the country’s digital transformation ambitions.
Strengthening Morocco’s cybersecurity ecosystem
The Digital Resilience Center provides strategic and operational support in data protection, business continuity, and the fight against financial crime and fraud. It is designed to help companies across Morocco and Africa address the growing complexity of cyber risks while managing technological transitions, including artificial intelligence integration.
Réda Loumany, Senior Regional Partner at PwC, said the new facility reflects the firm’s commitment to supporting organizations in achieving digital resilience. “The Digital Resilience Center embodies our vision of combining expertise and innovation to strengthen digital security and risk management,” he noted. “We believe that technology must serve people, and that cybersecurity is, above all, a matter of trust.”
A 24/7 hub for cybersecurity services
Operating continuously from Casablanca, the DRC delivers managed cybersecurity services to Moroccan and international clients. Its comprehensive approach covers cybersecurity operations, financial crime prevention, digital forensics, and regulatory compliance. The center’s modular structure enables tailored solutions based on four main pillars: Managed Cyber, Managed Cyber Defense, Digital Identity, and Cloud Security.
Jamal Basrire, Partner and Technology Consulting Leader at PwC, emphasized the DRC’s practical value for businesses. “Many companies face challenges in developing mature cyber capabilities internally,” he said. “Our goal is to provide operational, scalable, and contextualized solutions that adapt to diverse organizational structures and sectors.”
Supporting national goals and regional leadership
The Casablanca DRC is closely aligned with Morocco’s “Digital Strategy 2030,” which prioritizes digital sovereignty, technological innovation, and talent development. It contributes to the national objective of training 100,000 specialists in digital and cybersecurity fields by 2030. PwC plans to support this target by mobilizing 100 dedicated consultants over the same period.
Loumany stated that the center’s ambition extends beyond national borders: “Our goal is to make the Casablanca center a regional hub for Africa, promoting knowledge sharing, cooperation, and cybersecurity innovation.”
PwC’s DRC integrates the firm’s global cybersecurity expertise, linking its Moroccan team with a network of 7,800 professionals and international resilience centers operating on a continuous, follow-the-sun model. This setup ensures that local clients benefit from global support, reinforcing both trust and efficiency.

Enhancing Morocco’s digital leadership
Beyond its technological mission, the DRC contributes to strengthening local skills and institutional resilience, consolidating Morocco’s role as a leader in the regional digital economy. With over 400 employees in Morocco and 7,000 in France and the Maghreb, PwC continues to expand its presence across 149 countries, combining innovation, consulting, and multidisciplinary expertise to drive sustainable transformation.
