Moroccan kickboxers delivered an impressive performance at the inaugural Empire Fight Morocco K-1 event, claiming the majority of victories against international opponents during a high-level competition held at the Al Bachir Indoor Arena in Mohammedia.
The event brought together leading athletes from Morocco, members of the Moroccan diaspora competing abroad, and fighters representing Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands, highlighting the growing international profile of kickboxing in the Kingdom.
Moroccan talent takes center stage
The evening featured a series of competitive bouts across multiple weight classes, with Moroccan fighters consistently outperforming their rivals through a combination of technical skill, tactical discipline and knockout power.
In the 69 kg division, Omar Salami secured a points victory over Italy's Gian Del Vecchio, while Oussama Zaïm produced one of the night's standout performances by defeating fellow Moroccan Ilyas Krafi via knockout in an all-Moroccan contest in the 65 kg category.
Another spectacular finish came in the 63.5 kg division, where Zakaria Nadir stopped Dutch competitor Noufal Lahfa with a knockout.
Strong performances across the card
Morocco's success continued in the 67 kg weight class, with Hakim Aït Hamma overcoming Spain's Rifouane Sevilano.
In another closely contested bout, Hicham Ben Boukhriss earned a points victory against Spanish fighter Del Prado in the 65 kg division, adding to the host nation's dominant overall record.
The event showcased both experienced competitors and emerging talent, reinforcing Morocco's growing reputation as a stronghold for kickboxing in North Africa.

The first edition of Empire Fight Morocco demonstrated the country's ambition to establish itself as a key destination for international combat sports events.
By bringing together athletes from several European nations alongside Morocco's top domestic and overseas-based fighters, the tournament created a competitive environment that highlighted the depth of Moroccan talent.
Following the success of its inaugural edition, Empire Fight Morocco is expected to strengthen its position on the international K-1 calendar while providing local athletes with greater opportunities to compete against elite international opposition.
