The attack, reported on Monday, occurred in the village of Koloskovo, located around 15 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, amid continued hostilities between Russia and Ukraine.

Deadly strike reported near the border

Belgorod regional governor Alexandre Chouvaïev said the attack targeted the settlement of Koloskovo, where several civilians were affected. In a statement shared through the messaging platform Max, he reported that six people had lost their lives and four others had been wounded.

The authorities described the incident as a missile strike carried out by Ukrainian forces. Ukrainian officials have not been cited as commenting on the allegation in the information available.

Belgorod remains exposed to cross-border attacks
