Moroccan cafés and restaurants prepare for CAN 2025 influx

As the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) approaches, Moroccan cafés and restaurants are mobilizing to welcome the expected influx of visitors. Traditionally central to football culture, cafés serve as lively gathering spots where fans watch matches, debate, and share the excitement with friends and family.

The National Federation of Café and Restaurant Owners (FNPCR) announced that final preparatory meetings will take place on December 13, setting out directives to ensure smooth operations during the tournament. Measures include maintaining stable prices despite sector challenges, improving hygiene standards, and creating dedicated viewing areas for football fans.

Training initiatives are also planned in cooperation with the Office for Professional Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT) to ensure staff provide high-quality service. Despite financial and regulatory difficulties, café and restaurant owners remain committed to offering accessible, safe, and enjoyable experiences for both national and international visitors during CAN 2025.
