Marrakech to Host Groundbreaking World Congress on In Vitro Fertilization

Morocco is set to make history as it welcomes the 22nd World Congress on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to Marrakech from November 7 to 9. This marks the first time the prestigious event will be held in the North African country, signaling Morocco's growing prominence in the field of reproductive medicine.

The congress, organized by the Moroccan Society of Reproductive Medicine (SMMR) in collaboration with other prominent organizations, is expected to draw over 1,500 participants from around the globe. Experts will gather at the Habous Cultural and Administrative Complex to explore cutting-edge innovations in IVF, endometriosis, and reproductive healthcare.

Omar Sefrioui, President of the 22nd World Congress on In Vitro Fertilization, highlighted the significance of bringing this event to Marrakech. "Winning the bid to hold this congress in Marrakech was no easy task, especially as we were up against such strong contenders as Sydney, Buenos Aires, and Rome," Sefrioui stated. He emphasized the extensive efforts made to secure the bid, including a robust scientific program and effective communication strategies.

Originally scheduled for 2021, the congress was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it stands as a crucial platform for professionals in reproductive sciences to engage in dialogue and exchange the latest advancements in IVF and assisted reproductive technologies.

The theme of this year's congress, "No Borders in Assisted Reproductive Technologies," underscores the importance of international collaboration and knowledge sharing in advancing reproductive technologies. The event promises an extensive program featuring over 40 sessions led by 85 international speakers from various countries, including Morocco, France, Italy, Japan, the United States, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

Topics will cover a wide range of subjects, including the latest advances in adenomyosis, fibroids, congenital uterine anomalies, and more. Discussions will also focus on new techniques in IVF, ethical considerations, and oncofertility.

The congress will serve as a valuable platform for emerging scientists and researchers to present their work, with exceptional submissions eligible for publication in prominent scientific journals. Participants will play an active role in promoting collaborative research and fostering intercultural exchange throughout the event.

Renowned international scientific societies, such as the French Federation for Reproductive Studies (FFWR), the Italian Society of Human Reproduction (SIRU), and the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), among others, will actively participate in the congress.

As Marrakech prepares to host this landmark event, the anticipation grows for what promises to be a groundbreaking gathering in the field of reproductive medicine. The congress not only highlights Morocco's growing role in the global scientific community but also provides a unique opportunity for experts from around the world to share knowledge and push the boundaries of reproductive healthcare.
