inDrive Morocco: Inclusive Commitment for Accessible Mobility

In a significant move towards inclusion, inDrive, the global platform for mobility and urban services, announces its dedicated support for Moroccan drivers facing specific needs. This initiative reflects the company's deep commitment to the driver community in Morocco and its mission to promote justice in sometimes challenging work and living conditions.

Badr el din, a 24-year-old from Tangier, embodies this inclusive approach. Throughout the year 2024, he benefited from free rides and received a smartphone to support his health, which limits mobility in the lower part of his body. His positive experience with inDrive has led the company to consider launching a special program to attract individuals with physical disabilities, but who have the right to drive, to become users of the platform.

Badr el din, despite the physical obstacles he has overcome, found a new life by joining inDrive as a driver. He shares his journey: "I have specific needs; the lower part of my body is disabled. Before joining the inDrive family, I was losing hope in life because it was challenging to work in any field, but after discovering the inDrive application, my entire life changed."

He emphasizes that the profession of a driver was the only one that suited his health condition, and after applying to the application, he started earning money, allowing him to get married.

Despite his physical challenges, Badr el din actively participates in the competitive aspect of his work, striving to provide the best possible service. He also benefits from regular checks conducted by agents in Morocco, ensuring the quality and safety of his journeys.

Anas Taoussi, supervisor of driving operations at inDrive Morocco, highlights the positive impact of such initiatives on the lives of drivers facing challenging working conditions, especially when dealing with health issues. "By offering free rides, inDrive not only provides practical support but also sends a strong message about the importance of inclusion and empathy in the business world."

He adds, "It would be interesting to see how this initiative inspires other companies in different sectors to take similar actions to support their local communities, contributing to a more compassionate society."

inDrive's inclusive approach and its willingness to offer opportunities to individuals with specific needs benefit not only the driver on a personal level but also contribute to fostering a more inclusive and diversified work environment.

The company encourages individuals with physical disabilities who are authorized to drive a car to contact the company's assistance service. Officials will conduct a personal consultation on how to use the service to earn money, demonstrating ongoing commitment to inclusion and empowerment.
