Digitalisation partnership between Crédit Agricole du Maroc, ONICL, and PORTNET S.A

In a significant development during the 17th edition of the International Agriculture Show in Morocco, Crédit Agricole du Maroc forged a partnership on April 24 in Meknes with the National Interprofessional Office for Cereals and Legumes (ONICL) and PORTNET S.A, the National Single Window for Foreign Trade Procedures. The event was graced by Mr. Ahmed El Bouari, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests.

According to a statement, this collaboration aims to implement a digitized management process for bank guarantees related to the importation of cereals and legumes.

The management of these bank guarantees, a crucial aspect of the digitization of import and export operations for cereals and legumes, is enhanced by the "digitalization of bank guarantee management."

Through the secure and computerized exchange of data facilitated by Portnet, the initiative promises tangible improvements, including reduced processing times, optimized operational costs, and decreased risks of human error and data loss.

This project aligns with the digitization strategy jointly pursued by Crédit Agricole du Maroc and ONICL, while continuing the services provided by PORTNET S.A. The objective is to enable a secure and digitized management of bank guarantees, simplifying international procedures for operators.
