Family Code - The countdown has begun

Nearly 20 years after its enactment, the Family Code is set to be revised in accordance with the instructions of King Mohammed VI. The body responsible for this revision has just completed a crucial phase of consultations with society's stakeholders. The focus now shifts to the examination of received proposals before formulating recommendations for amendments to be submitted to the Sovereign. The objective is to address the shortcomings revealed in the application of the Code and adapt it to the developments in Moroccan society while preserving its essence and reference based on Islamic principles and compliance with internationally ratified conventions by Morocco.

Purchasing Power - The 2024 Budget Law falls short of expectations

As the purchasing power of Moroccan households has continuously deteriorated in recent years, particularly amid the inflation crisis, the measures outlined in the 2024 Budget Law are deemed disappointing by experts. Surfing continues to gain popularity in Morocco, where a new generation of promising talents is emerging, such as Lilias Tebbai and Teva Bouchgua. At just 20 years old, Taghazout native Lilias Tebbai holds national and continental titles. The 2023 African champion will seek to qualify for the 2024 Olympics at the February World Championships in Puerto Rico.
