British airline expands Morocco routes with new winter connections

Jet2 is strengthening its presence in Morocco by introducing two new routes for the winter 2025-2026 season, bringing its total Morocco-serving UK airports to eight.

Starting November 4, 2025, the airline will operate weekly Tuesday flights from Bournemouth Airport to Agadir, running through March 24, 2026. The company will also launch bi-weekly services connecting Leeds Bradford Airport to Marrakech, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays from October 3, 2025, to April 28, 2026.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, highlighted the strong market response: "We have experienced a phenomenal reaction since launching our Morocco programme, with customers and independent travel agents jumping at the chance to book our award-winning flights and holidays to both Agadir and Marrakech."

The Bournemouth-Agadir connection marks Jet2's inaugural operations from Bournemouth Airport, expanding its destination portfolio from this location to 13 for Winter 25/26. This addition makes Jet2 the UK carrier with the most extensive Agadir service, operating from seven UK airports during winter: Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, London Stansted, and Bournemouth.

At Leeds Bradford Airport, the new Marrakech route enhances the airline's growing network to 22 winter destinations, including two Moroccan locations, and 58 destinations overall. Marrakech services will operate from six UK airports, including Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, and London Stansted.

Travelers can select from various options including package holidays with Jet2holidays, city breaks with Jet2CityBreaks, or leisure flights with Jet2.com. This expansion follows the company's successful launch of flights and holiday services to Agadir and Marrakech in October 2024.

Agadir has emerged as Morocco's premier beach destination, featuring a 9-kilometer golden sand beach lined with hotels, waterparks, and restaurants. The coastal city offers traditional souks, minarets, and tea cafes, with nearby excursions available to Taghazout surfing village and Immi Ouaddar.

In Marrakech, known as the "Red City," visitors can explore maze-like streets leading to hidden riads with tiled courtyards. The city provides both central accommodations for city breaks and a selection of 4 and 5-star hotels in the surrounding area, allowing guests to experience Moroccan culture while enjoying resort amenities near the historic center.
