Marhaba 2026 operation launches June 10 across Morocco Europe

The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity will launch the 2026 edition of the Marhaba operation on June 10. The initiative is designed to support Moroccans living abroad during their summer travel between host countries and the Kingdom. It focuses on assistance at key transit points and border routes used by the diaspora.

The reception system will become fully operational at midnight across Morocco, France, Spain and Italy. The operation is implemented in coordination with national stakeholders and runs under the effective presidency of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. It aims to ensure structured support for travelers throughout the peak movement period.

The network includes 26 reception centers positioned along major travel corridors. In Morocco, 20 sites operate at ports including Tanger Med, Tanger Ville, Al Hoceima and Nador Bni Nsar. Airport facilities are established in Casablanca, Rabat, Oujda, Nador, Agadir, Fez, Marrakech, Tangier, Laayoune and Dakhla. Additional stations operate at Mediterranean, Jebha, Tazaghine and Smir M’Diq rest areas, as well as border crossings at Bab Sebta and Mellila.

Six additional centers operate in Europe to support travelers before departure to Morocco. These are located at the ports of Genoa in Italy, Sète and Marseille in France, and Motril, Almeria and Algeciras in Spain. The system is designed to reduce congestion and improve assistance along maritime routes linking Europe and North Africa.

Nearly 1,400 personnel are mobilized for the operation, including social workers, medical staff, paramedics and volunteers. Services include social assistance and medical support at all reception points. A central coordination office in Rabat manages operations and oversees a 24-hour telephone assistance service. The campaign will run until September 15, covering both arrival and return travel flows.
