German police arrested an armed man outside the headquarters of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) in Berlin, following a tense security operation in the city’s Mitte district.

According to local media reports citing police sources, the individual was seen approaching the party’s headquarters on Monday evening while carrying a bladed weapon. Passersby alerted authorities after noticing the suspicious behavior.
