Chad and Morocco Forge Strategic Partnership in Agriculture and Technology
Chad’s Foreign Minister Highlights Potential for Collaboration
In a bid to harness expertise in agriculture and technology, Chad is seeking to deepen ties with Morocco. During a joint press conference with Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, Chad’s Foreign Minister Abderaman Koulamallah emphasized the positive impact of Moroccan aid on Chadian communities. He highlighted ongoing training programs for Chadian professionals in Morocco as a testament to the fruitful partnership.
Koulamallah reaffirmed Chad’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, marked by the recent establishment of a Chadian Consulate General in Dakhla. This move signifies Chad’s commitment to solidifying economic and diplomatic relations with Morocco.
The minister noted Morocco’s crucial support during Chad’s political transition, particularly at the African Union’s Peace and Security Council. He praised Morocco’s role in stabilizing Chad and expressed a desire to reactivate the Joint Commission to enhance bilateral relations across various sectors.
The enduring partnership between Chad and Morocco is characterized by shared linguistic ties and mutual political support. As both nations look to the future, their collaboration promises to yield significant benefits in agriculture and technology, further bolstering economic and diplomatic connections.
