Turkey: 125 suspected ISIS members arrested across the country
Turkish authorities announced the arrest of 125 individuals suspected of being affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS) during coordinated operations across Turkey.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the arrests were carried out in 25 provinces during simultaneous operations on Wednesday morning.
This large-scale crackdown follows a recent police operation on December 29 in Yalova province, where a shootout resulted in the deaths of three Turkish police officers and six ISIS militants. The authorities emphasized that these measures aim to prevent terrorist activities and strengthen national security.
