Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks on Tuesday in Paris with France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean‑Noël Barrot.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Nuclear Energy Summit, an international gathering that brought together government leaders and policymakers to discuss the future of nuclear energy and global energy security.
Morocco was represented at the summit by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, who attended the event on behalf of HM king Mohammed VI.
According to diplomatic sources, the discussions between the Moroccan and French foreign ministers focused on bilateral relations as well as several regional and international issues of common interest. The talks highlighted the long-standing partnership between Morocco and France, which cooperate closely in political, economic and security matters.
