Nacer Jabour, the esteemed director of the National Institute of Geophysics, promptly addressed the public's concerns, assuring them that the tremor was too faint to be perceptible to Taounate's residents. With a reassuring demeanor, he stated, "This earthquake was a routine occurrence and lacked the force to cause any significant disruption. Consequently, the institute did not receive any reports from residents regarding the incident."
