Morocco reaches historic milestone with 16.6 million tourists in ten months

Morocco has marked a historic achievement in its tourism sector by welcoming 16.6 million visitors during the first ten months of 2025, representing a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.

The announcement was made in Casablanca by Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, during the signing of a letter of intent between Groupe Alliances and Rixos Hotels.

This performance reflects the effective implementation of Morocco’s tourism roadmap, launched in 2023, and growing confidence from both domestic and international investors. According to UN Tourism, Morocco now ranks 13th among the world’s 20 most dynamic tourist destinations.

The expansion of hotel capacity has supported this growth, with 43,000 new beds added since 2023, boosting Morocco’s hospitality offerings across multiple segments.

As part of this development, the Luxury All-Inclusive concept, promoted by Rixos Hotels in partnership with Groupe Alliances, was launched. This premium hospitality model combines immersive experiences with upscale accommodation, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Key projects include:

Rixos Marrakech: 26 hectares, 400 rooms, 60 villas
Aliée Marrakech: 14 hectares, 150 rooms, 50 villas
Rixos Lixus – Larache: 7.5 hectares, 400 rooms

These initiatives aim to diversify Morocco’s tourism offerings and strengthen readiness for the 2030 World Cup, ensuring high-quality services for international visitors.

This surge confirms Morocco’s ambition to enhance its global attractiveness while promoting sustainable, inclusive, and experiential tourism.
