Morocco has taken decisive action to protect its domestic manufacturing sector by imposing substantial anti-dumping duties on electric ovens imported from Turkey. The measure specifically targets non-built-in, portable ovens with a capacity of up to 70 liters, falling under tariff code 8516.60.00.11.

The Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes (ADII) has established a two-tier duty structure: Turkish manufacturer İtimat faces a 32.82% rate, while other producers and exporters are subject to a steeper 71.43% tariff.

This policy decision follows a comprehensive investigation by Morocco's Ministry of Industry and Trade, which documented significant damage to local manufacturers. The ministry's analysis revealed a clear correlation between increased Turkish imports and financial setbacks for domestic producers during the period from January 2019 through June 2023.

The public can now access the complete findings and official declaration through document DDC/12/2024. This regulatory intervention demonstrates Morocco's active stance in defending its industrial base against market disruptions.
