Morocco-Jordan: King Mohammed VI expresses solidarity with King Abdullah II

King Mohammed VI has sent a message of solidarity and outrage to His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, Sovereign of the Kingdom of Jordan, following the Iranian missile attacks targeting Jordanian territory.

In this message, King Mohammed VI expresses his deep concern regarding this new escalation, while firmly condemning the attacks, which he considers a threat to the stability of Jordan and the security of its people.

The Moroccan Sovereign reaffirms the support of the Kingdom of Morocco for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in a regional context marked by a significant deterioration of the security situation and the increasing tensions between Iran and several states in the region.

A strong condemnation of the attacks against Jordan

King Mohammed VI expressed his deep indignation after the missile strikes targeting Jordanian territory. The Sovereign denounces an unjustified aggression that could undermine the stability of the Hashemite Kingdom and the security of its citizens.

Through this stance, Rabat reaffirms its commitment to respecting the sovereignty and security of Jordan, regarded as a brotherly country with which Morocco maintains close relations.

The royal message also reflects a desire to show clear support for the Jordanian authorities as the country faces a particularly sensitive regional situation.

Morocco reaffirms its support for Amman

King Mohammed VI has renewed the full and complete solidarity of the Kingdom of Morocco with Jordan. The Sovereign also assured his Jordanian counterpart of Morocco's support for the measures taken by the authorities in Amman to preserve the security and stability of the country.

This position underscores the closeness between the two monarchies and the importance attached by Rabat to the stability of the Hashemite Kingdom in a regional environment heavily marked by military tensions.

King Mohammed VI reminds, in this context, that the security of Jordan is closely linked to that of Morocco, thus highlighting the strategic dimension of the relations between the two countries.

A message of solidarity to the Jordanian people

Beyond institutional support, King Mohammed VI has also expressed his confidence in the ability of the Jordanian people to overcome the consequences of this new ordeal.

The Sovereign highlights the determination and solidarity of the Jordanians, while reaffirming his support for King Abdullah II in his efforts to preserve the security and stability of the Kingdom.

This message comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East continue to pose significant risks to several countries in the region.

Rabat maintains a vigilant position towards regional developments

The reaction of King Mohammed VI fits into a Moroccan diplomatic line that prioritizes solidarity with Arab states facing security threats and the defense of their stability.

By sending this message to King Abdullah II, the Moroccan Sovereign also recalls the depth of the ties between Morocco and Jordan, while emphasizing the importance of preserving the security of populations and the stability of the states in the region.
