Marrakech Menara named best regional airport in Africa at 2026 Awards

Marrakech Menara Airport has been awarded the title of Best Regional Airport in Africa at the prestigious World Airport Awards 2026, held in London. The recognition marks a significant milestone for the Moroccan aviation sector and highlights the airport’s growing international reputation.

The award, presented by Skytrax, is based on a large-scale global passenger satisfaction survey involving travelers from over 100 nationalities and covering hundreds of airports worldwide. It reflects strong appreciation for the airport’s service quality, efficiency, and passenger experience.

Recent improvements at Marrakech Menara Airport have focused on enhancing operational performance, streamlining passenger flows, and modernizing infrastructure. These efforts are part of a broader national strategy led by ONDA under the “Airports 2030” vision, which aims to upgrade airport services and align them with international standards.

The achievement also underscores the coordinated efforts of multiple stakeholders, including security authorities, customs services, and local institutions, all working together to improve travel conditions and operational efficiency.

With this recognition, Marrakech Menara Airport strengthens its position as a leading aviation hub in Africa and reinforces its role as a key gateway for international visitors to Morocco.
