Iran’s uprising persists as regime’s crackdown fills hospitals with martyrs

For 16 days, a fierce uprising for freedom has swept through Iran, clashing relentlessly with the regime's machinery of repression and violence. Facing a desperate impasse, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has unleashed Revolutionary Guards, Basij militias, interrogators, and prosecutors onto the streets to crush the protests. Yet the Iranian people have responded with unyielding passion for liberty, a fierce resolve to reshape their destiny, and profound willingness to sacrifice.

The regime's latest atrocities, including the staggering toll of 3,000 martyrs reported today by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, expose not strength but profound vulnerability at the heart of Khamenei's rule. These horrific crimes, which have overwhelmed hospitals and morgues with the bodies of freedom fighters, jolt the conscience of the global community. Far from deterring the movement, this bloodshed underscores the protesters' unbreakable determination to dismantle the religious dictatorship, no matter the cost.

A population this committed to paying freedom's price defies containment by any force. Khamenei and his brutal enforcers will ultimately drown in the sea of blood they have drawn from Iran's resilient people.
