Dubai introduces five-year multiple-entry tourist visa for all nationalities
Dubai has introduced a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa designed to simplify travel for visitors from all nationalities. The initiative is part of the emirate's broader strategy to strengthen its position as a global destination for tourism, business, and international investment.
The new visa allows eligible travelers to enter the United Arab Emirates multiple times without requiring a local sponsor or host. Each visit can last up to 90 days, with the possibility of extending the stay for an additional 90 days. However, the total period spent in the country must not exceed 180 days within a single year.
To qualify, applicants must hold a passport valid for at least six months, demonstrate sufficient financial resources through recent bank statements, provide valid health insurance covering their stay in the UAE, and present a confirmed return or onward travel ticket.
Applications can be submitted through the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) digital platforms, customer service centers, or authorized service providers. Authorities expect applications to be processed within approximately two days once all required documents have been submitted.
Officials said the long-term visa is intended to benefit frequent travelers, including tourists, business professionals, investors, and individuals visiting family members in the UAE. By reducing the need for repeated visa applications, the program aims to make travel more convenient while encouraging longer-term engagement with the country's economy and tourism sector.
Dubai has continued to expand its visa policies in recent years as part of its efforts to attract global talent, entrepreneurs, and visitors. The emirate has introduced several long-term residency and travel initiatives to support economic growth and reinforce its reputation as one of the world's leading international hubs for business, leisure, and innovation.
Authorities have also reminded travelers to comply with visa conditions, noting that overstaying permitted periods may result in financial penalties and other administrative measures. Visitors are encouraged to monitor their entry and exit records to ensure they remain within the authorized duration of stay.
